The TV producer read the article and quickly sent an e-mail to the LGW’s leader to express his gratitude. In his message, Mr. Giacomitti emphasized that despite being far from Brazil, he follows the words of the President of the Organization. “Technology has brought the world close to all places. At the moment I am in an Internet cafe at the foot of Machu Picchu, in Peru, where I am leading a group of 35 Brazilians to this special place”, affirmed the writer, who also thanked journalist Paiva Netto for mentioning in his article the “honorable interview”, as Giacomitti defined. He proceeds: “Thank you for the memory. Three days ago I gave a conference to this group [of Brazilians in Peru] during our trip, where I also recalled the LGW’s Spirit and Science World Forum*, conceived by you (...). I wish you much health, light and peace for all eternity... An affectionate hug from your friend, Alcione Giacomitti”.

* LGW’s Spirit and Science World Forum — In the year 2000, the leader of the Legion of Good Will created the LGW’s Spirit and Science World Forum, which has become the biggest movement in the world of its kind in forming new paradigms of human thought based on the convergence and the interchange between scientific knowledge and the diverse religious traditions. Among the participants were: the American astronaut Edgar Mitchell, member of the Apollo 14 crew and the sixth man to walk on the Moon; Alexander Lazutkin, Russian cosmonaut who was part of the MIR-23 Mission crew; quantum physicists and writers Amit Goswami (from the United States), Patrick Drouot (from France), Waldyr Rodrigues (from Brazil); Brazilian astronomer Ronaldo Rogério de Freitas Mourão; French psychologist and educator Pierre Weil (1924-2008); and Tibetan Lama Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche, aside from other important personalities. The Forum proposes more than a permanent theoretical debate, encouraging the implementation of its proposals in the pragmatic field of society’s accomplishments.
